Google AdWords is introducing a new ad extension called ‘callout extensions’, which is basically additional text in the search ads, that highlights specific information about products and services. This will help buyers make better decisions about their online purchases.

The great thing about callouts is that they show valuable information to potential customers before they click your ad. Advertisers can use them to draw attention to important product details and benefits, or to highlight unique product features or benefits.

Advertisers can use callout extensions to tell users what features their company offers that competitors may not. Examples can be: free shipping, product ratings, technical support, customer service, price matching and more.

Another benefit of callouts is that they can be used in combination with other ad formats to create a more effective ad. Advertisers who use sitelinks or call extensions can create a callout that will encourage people to click through and make a purchase.

Callout extensions are limited to 25 characters each and up to four can show in your ad. Callouts started rolling out a week ago, and in the next few weeks will be available to all advertisers.
