When people are searching for products on the web, they want to see reviews and feedback that will help them decide. Google has recently added the product ratings feature on Product Listing Ads, to help shoppers easily find useful information and reviews.
Currently available to shoppers in USA, this feature shows product ratings (stars and review counts) on Product Listing Ads on Google’s web search and shopping search. The rating and review data for each product is compiled from multiple sourcesincluding merchants, third party aggregators, users and editorial sites.
According to Google’s statement, during initial tests, product ratings also helped increase click-through-rates of Product Listing Ads.
Advertisers who wish to enable this feature on their Product Listing Ads, should start by submitting their review content to Google and complete the product ratings form. In the upcoming months, Google is planning to open up product ratings to merchants targeting countries outside of the United States.
